Late Arun Nevetia’s dream turned into reality with the opening of the first healthcare centre in the holy town of Mayapur, Dist. Nadia, West Bengal, 130 kms from Kolkata. Though the centre was initially run from Friday to Sunday with few medical equipments and medicines, it is now a full-fledged medical centre where there has not been a dearth of patients. Since it was the first of the centres that were opened by us, it became the model for the centres that followed gradually in the later years. Encouraged by the hordes of patients, the idea of running the centre through out the year was taken. The public trust Rural Health Care Foundation was born in March 2009. The nearest town is Nabadwip the birth place of the legendary saint Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and the district town is Krishnanagar. This centre has earned immense popularity in the district of Nadia owing to the high inflow of patients. Till July, 2014 date the centre has treated 375773 patients and arranged for more than 4500 cataract surgeries.
